Inviting Team Members and Assigning Roles
Invite staff and volunteers to your Mybers organization and control what they can see and do with roles.
Inviting team members
Open Settings → Team and choose Invite member. Enter the person's email address, pick a role, and send the invite. They'll receive an email with a link to set a password and join your organization.
Available roles
- Owner — full access, including billing, integrations, and the ability to delete the organization. There is always at least one owner.
- Admin — manage members, events, payments, and email, but cannot change billing or delete the organization.
- Editor — create and edit members, events, and broadcasts, but cannot change settings.
- Viewer — read-only access to members and reports.
Custom access (per area)
For finer control, edit a member and choose Custom access, then set each area to None, View (read-only), or Edit independently — for example a treasurer with Payments on View and everything else None, or someone who can edit Events but only view Members. Start from the Editor or Viewer preset and adjust. The Who can do what table on the Team page shows every member’s effective access at a glance.
Custom roles
If several people need the same access, the owner can name a role under Custom roles on the Team page — for example Event volunteer (Events: Edit, Members: View) or Treasurer (Payments: Edit). Pick it when inviting someone, or use Apply next to a team member. Editing a role doesn’t change anyone until you choose Re-apply, and the list shows how many people differ from it. Deleting a role leaves everyone’s access as it is.
Changing or removing access
From the same screen you can change someone's role from the dropdown next to their name, or use Remove to revoke access immediately. Pending invites can be resent or cancelled before they're accepted.
Tip: give volunteers the Viewer or Editor role rather than Admin so day-to-day helpers can't accidentally change billing or integration settings.
